Welcome back, Carisa!
Winnipeg, Canada
We’re delighted to have senior designer Carisa Romans back at Circle. Carisa first joined us in 1998 (upon graduation from Red River College) and then worked at Circle as a designer for the next four years.
Following maternity leave in 2002 (with son Aidan, now seven), Carisa spent several years working with another ex-Circle designer, ‘Segun Olude, at Indigo Ink Studios. Daughter Lauryn (now four) brought about another employment change—since returning to work, Carisa has spent the past few years with Blacksheep Strategy, a Winnipeg-based brand development consultancy.
Carisa lives with husband Ryan (who works with Manitoba Hydro) in a lovely house they built on a rural acreage just south of Winnipeg. Carisa’s interests are broad-ranging, and besides her role as an active homemaker, include a long-time volunteer role with Manitoba Theatre Centre (well over a decade now), reading, and the crafting of exquisite cakes and cookies through Sugarcrumb Confections, a couture baking and catering venture she founded in 2007.
Welcome back, Carisa!
