“Artists have played a very significant part in the development of western Canada's culture and identity throughout our history. Our evolution as a nation has been profoundly affected by those in the arts.”

Art for Art's Sake
To commemorate the Prairie Region Exhibition of The Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA) Circle designed an attractive bound catalogue featuring 33 colour plates, each showcasing an academician's work. By means of creative production planning, an unbound over-run of the plates also generated souvenir postcard sets (sold to recoup costs), and uncut sheets acted as full-colour promotional posters. Catalogue covers were printed in metallic ink and featured the RCA's distinctive monogram in a blind emboss.
