Analyze

Analysis and assessment is the first step. We take care to learn about our client's corporate culture, competition, and mission. We evaluate goals, set objectives, define parameters, and identify challenges and opportunities.

Visual identity and branding projects usually begin with a visual/identity audit that assesses nomenclature, image equity, perceptions, and reputation. Marketing strategy and market positioning are carefully examined. We inventory identity and communication assets, and examine competitors and industry benchmarks. A summary report of observations leads to clear, actionable recommendations which inform corporate decision making.

Effective corporate communications also begin with critical analysis. We evaluate the standard—“who, what, where, when, and why”—and add “with which intended result?” A clear briefing, a review of corporate goals, identification of target audiences, and a listing of key messages paves the way to a defined strategy.

Before conceptual development begins, specific design criteria are drafted and reviewed with the client.
